Argina Williams

This is my first cousin twice removed or she is my third cousin or something. She is my Abuelo's first cousin so how does that work? We coincidentally met at a wedding reception. I was introduced to her by Andrew's Uncle Donald who served a mission in Uruguay. He said "I have someone for you to meet. She has ties to Uruguay and is a Williams." I thought "Who the heck could this be?" So I went over and told her that my grandfather, Buehl LaMar Williams served a mission in Uruguay while his Uncle Fred Williams was the mission president. She then said "Uncle Fred is my father!" Wow! What a coincidence! We had a nice long talk and I learned that she met my Abuela (Sonia Auliso Bralich) when she was just a girl growing up in Montivideo and investigating the church. She even rode up on the boat with my Abuela and Uncle Fred when they came to America for Abuela to attend BYU. (One side note is that Uncle Fred told my Abuelo to look after Sonia while she was at BYU and Abuelo took that instruction very seriously as they dated and were later married! Abuelo is very shy and once they had been dating a while he said to Abuela "Well, I guess we better get you a ring." Ha! What a proposal!) She said Abuela was always a happy and fun girl. We joked about how Abuela and Abuelo always said they didn't really know each other in Uruguay, but we later found photos to prove they were at a lot of the same events a lot of the time! She said they were both "Very Good" though! :) It was such a nice treat to meat Gina and I was really lucky to have my camera with me at the time!
